We booked through Letsgo2 (this was quite a few years ago). They are pretty "no frills" and the flights were charter flights as I recall but they covered the resort I wanted (Angaga).

Flight centre are several hundred pounds cheaper than the others you've mentioned. Why not find out where you're interested in staying and then call them/pop in to see what they can do on price. Travel bag is another low cost alternative.

Try calling Trailfinders. They always have all manner of special offers. Tell them your budget and see what they suggest. You can often get a free night, sometimes free half board. We've used them a lot and quite regularly get a room upgrade. They have a lot of hotels on their books so you'll have a wide choice.

Dear Falconmum,

I really wouldn't book the Maldives with children with anyone but an expert and a company with good customer service as you don't want to get stuck on the mainland having missed your connecting plan due to bad planning.

Try Travelbeam Luxury Hotels 0345 845 0125. We specialise in first hand honest advice of the finest family hotels in Europe, Mauritius and the Maldives. http://www.travelbeam-luxury-hotels.co. ... esort__spa.

My colleagues and I have travelled to the Maldives several times with our own families and we work with various Indian Ocean specialists. We'd be happy to help!

The agency is local to you and we have been helping families for last 19 years in the area. www.travelmatters.co.uk

Hi,
There is a wealth of choice in the Maldives - over 300 different island resorts - some of our most popular 4 stars for families are
Adaaran Hudhuran Fushi = All inclusive, good for families and water sports (surfing), close to Male. Speedboat transfer
Adaaran Meedhupparu = All inclusive, good for families. Sea plane transfer
Bandos = Full Board or All inclusive, good for families and very good snorkelling, close to Male. Speedboat transfer.
