Wandsworth Swimming Club is about to open a swimming academy at Harris Academy, Battersea offering a programme of swimming lessons for children age 4 to 6. The half-hour lessons will take place on Monday evenings from 5pm-7pm. There will be 3-5 swimmers in each lesson grouped by age and ability level. All swimmers will be assessed according to ASA Aquatics Standards.
Wandsworth Swimming Club is a friendly and competitive swimming club based at Putney Leisure Centre. It has over 160 swimmers, currently age 7 to 18, training in squads. While the junior squads focus on core skills and building stamina, the senior squads are focused on training for county, regional and national competitions.
The swimming academy could be a route into competitive swimming but it isn't essential to move on to the main club.
