First time buyers - reco for builder / engineering firms

Postby Acat » Thu Jan 05, 2017 8:55 am

Hello,

We are purchasing our first house(yeay!) and need help with the survey process. One of the surveyors we spoke to, recommended us to get a building services engineer to inspect the electric, plumbing, water and gas lines in the house vs. a comprehensive survey (the house is <50 yrs old)

Can someone recommend us a building services engineer or a services company for our mini-survey?

Cheers!

Hi Acat,

I know a really great guy who's both responsive and reasonably priced. He runs his own chartered surveying business and knows everything and everyone you'd need to get things surveyed and if necessary, fixed etc.

Give Chris Spencer from Spencer Architecture a call on 020 7386 7562. If he's ever away from his desk he forwards his phone.

Email is: surveyors@spencerarchitecture.co.uk

All the best,

Julian

Thanks Julian for the contact.

Anyone else with a personal recommendation to help us first time buyers? We just got the surveyors report and now need some engineer's technical help to decipher it and quote costs.
