Girl's Butterfly Curtains

Postby FLH03 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 1:43 pm

Hi would anyone like these curtains? Happy to give them away to a welcoming home. Ideal for little girls' bedroom, they have done us from toddler to teen.

Pair of curtains
Lined (not blackout lined)
Pinch pleats, so need hooks to hang on a track.
Width across top of each individual curtain 96cm, so 192cm across in total.
Length/drop 160cm

Fabric is gorgeous - lots of different coloured butterflies, with some gold thread. Goes with virtually any colour wall.
Could do with a dry clean - but not too bad, will probably shrink a bit if dry cleaned.
Made to measure by Uncommon Touch on Northcote Road, they are very well made, heavy, and excellent quality.

If interested PM me, collect from Streatham SW16

Hiya, how dark does the room get with them? I know they are not blackout but just need something that darkens more than the ones I currently have.

Hi, thanks for the interest.

They are going to be better curtains at cutting out natural window light than any of the ready made curtains such as from Ikea or John Lewis ones because these ones are properly lined.

It will also depend on how you hang them, as any gaps from track to curtain top or along the sides lets light in, and the orientation of the room, whether there are street lights outside and so on.

Because the background fabric is pale they are never going to make a room really dark in daylight. If your concern is darkness then you are probably needing blackout curtains/blinds or a very dark fabric.

Hello, the curtains aren't right for us sorry but wondered if you could tell me what the fabric is or at least which company makes it - it's lovely!

Hi, thank you - yes they were gorgeous, worked brilliantly for my daughter aged 18 months up to 12 years, and the colours go with absolutely everything.

I am so sorry I don't know the fabric manufacturer - as I said we got them made up by the Uncommon Touch at the end of Northcote Road, but I see that the shop is shut now. And it is over 12 years ago now.

I looked at the curtains and there is no fabric maker name band on them.

Maybe you can reverse image search them on google?
