Streatham Ice Hockey

Postby SW11er » Mon Mar 06, 2017 2:26 pm

Has anyone been to the Hockey at Streatham. Do you just get tickets on the door? If it says 5.30 start does the actual match start then? How long does the game normally go on for – I know its 60 mins playing time but know they have lots of stoppages and also 2 breaks between periods so am guessing its c2hrs? Would you recommend it for kids as young as 5/6? Can you just park in the leisure centre/tesco car park.

Tickets are available at the door. Games start close to 17:30 and finish around 19:45. You can take kids any age. You can use the leisure centre's car park. It is paid parking but you might be able to get a discount voucher if you ask at the leisure centre reception.

If your 5-6 year olds are interested in playing hockey for Streatham junior club, send me a pm.

You can book a family ticket online cheaper - £25 for two adults, 2 kids. You get through a little faster booking online. Far end of the seating is the away supporters so don't sit there. It does start on time - 20 mins with 10/15 min breaks between plus stoppage time. Sat night starts and finishes earlier than Sunday night. Don't sit right behind / in front of drums or you will be deafened.

Park in leisure car park. Pick up voucher from leisure centre desk for discount parking. Tickets for ice hockey on the table. By snacks/ kids drinks from Tesco. Does serve beer and bottled IPA but you need cash for that. 249 and 50 from Balham go direct from to leisure centre if you want to take the bus.
