Hi friends, i am overwhelmed! I need to plan a family holiday for my elderly parents, 2 sisters and my family of 4 (2 kids and me and my husband). The only thing we can confirm is the location - Ko Samui in Thailand.

I'm looking for a hotel with facilities but also providing private villas so that my family can have the 'private family experience', but also have access to the hotel facilities (and BAR)

Does anyone know a travel agency, or have experience to help?

Perhaps I can help with this! May I first start by saying what a fantastic destination you've picked, Ko Samui is absolutely beautiful! Have you been before? It is our speciality, so I would love to help and make sure you no longer feel overwhelmed.

One of the best options I think for what you've described would be the Centara Grand, which can offer private villas, and is definitely one of the most popular around here. Set on Chaweng Beach, the resort is set amid tropical gardens, so offers some really lovely views. Thailand offers a lot of hotels where they have villas for larger groups giving you as you say the more ‘private experience’ which is great as a lot of our clients are large family groups.

Having said that, there are actually a number of options that I think would benefit you and your requirements for this holiday, the Centara just being one of them.

Hi

We're actually just in Koh Samui, lovely place and excellent service especially with kids. We're travelling with a 9 months old baby.

Our hotel is the Four Seasons and I can't recommend it enough. It's meant to be the most child friendly place on the island and they have been truly fantastic. Not only do they have family villas with separate rooms for children they also provide everything you possibly need, baby cot, steam steriliser, microwave, you name it.
Their food menu includes a infant selection with steamed and puréed food so no need to bring pouches with you.

Check it out and see what you think. We would definitely come here again with children.

One small piece of advice - please consider putting any children in stinger suits (a thin lycra bodysuit that provides great UVA/UVB protection as well). Chances may be small, but there have been very dangerous jellyfish in the waters around Ko Samui.
