Northcote Road pharmacist caught in London Bridge terror attack

Postby Super Dad » Sun Jun 04, 2017 9:35 pm

Remember Marine, that professional and friendly French-woman who always smiled as she helped us with our questions when she worked at Battersea Pharmacy on the Northcote Road before it closed?

Sadly, she was caught up in Saturday's terror attack and has been very seriously injured and is going to take a long time to recover.

This is such sad news. Marine has run the pharmacie on abbeville road for a year now and is always so happy and helpful. She has a young daughter too. Just terrible

What a shock that Marine has been badly injured in the horrific attack on Saturday! I had so many conversations with her as she was going through a tough time. Would like we send her a card to show my support, am sure other nappy valley readers want to do the same. Will do the just giving fundraising as well. She does need our support!

Annabel/ NVN team, please can you check if it is real or not? It would be awful if NVN were directing people to a fake fundraising page but also sad if it is real and people are put off donating? Thank you!

Hi
The original post was put up by a regular NVN user which is why we mentioned it in the weekly email.

We have had a post asking us to take this down and supplying a phone number for us to call and discuss. We've called this number already a few times and will continue to do so until we get hold of someone.

I recommend people hold off donating right now until we know more - I don't want to take it down until we've spoken to the people saying it's fake.

Thank you

Regards

OK - we've just got off the phone to a friend of Marine who has explained that they believe the page is a fake, that it's been reported to the police and JustGiving.

We've also been asked by close friends of Marine if we can lock this thread - they (Marine's family) are trying to maintain a low profile for the sake of her child.

This is why this thread is locked and it goes without saying we wish Marine, and everyone else involved in Saturday's atrocity, a swift recovery.

Regards
