Suncream

Postby Haggis Burns » Mon Jun 05, 2017 9:17 am

Hi, my 9yr old son suffers from eczema and I wondered if anyone has found a really good kids factor 50 sun cream? One that doesn't dry out the skin and make the eczema worse.

I use Laroche Posay factir 50 for my children who have a very sensirive skin prone to dermatitis, it is expensive but worth all the pennies.

Hi there, My daughter (10) has eczema and skin allergies - the only sun tan lotion that we have found that does not irritate it is Aloe Pura - Aloe Vera Sun Lotion. They have a 50, 25 and 15. You can usually get it in Holland and Barret or online. I hope that this helps - Good Luck

Have you tried Vita LIberata? It isn't cheap, but it is lacking all the nasties and is moisturising at the same time. https://www.myshowcase.com/shop/vita_li ... list=19582

Slightly off topic but have you tried Salcura Bioskin products on your kids? I get eczema from time to time and this gets rid of it really quickly. It's a lovely natural product too with no nasty chemicals. Also I've found since using softened water my skin has been much better.

I haven't tried that, Dudette. Great suggestions because it is a constant struggle to keep the eczema at bay.

For eczema have you tried the Orba range? Marla created it as she is an eczema sufferer. It is really good.

Re Bioskin - you can get it online or at Planet Organic. Boots used to sell it but I'm not sure if they still do. They do shampoo and conditioner as well as various skin creams and lotions. It's the single best product I've ever used! Also just be aware of any products containing SLS (sodium laureth sulphate) - it's very harsh on skin and seems to be in many products, even ones designed for babies.
