All, a 5000 capacity event is planned on Clapham Common between 23 Nov and 1st Jan with events planned until 1030pm. The common will be boarded off for this period and if Sw4 festival is anything to go by, the noise pollution will be felt all around the common. A consultation is being held on 14 th June at 730pm at the Omnibus in clapham. You can also email claire@groundcontrol.com to express any concerns. Lambeth had committed to only 8 event days on the common this year and this is clearly yet another money making scheme with no regard for the residents around the common who have to put up with these events.

Having seen the event at Victoria Park, its a very big space. Events also continue until 1030pm every night (including live music). I think it would be nice for a week or so but for 50 days its quite disruptive, noisy and blocks off large parts of the common.

At this stage I am not sure, I can't find any plans online but will be attending the consultation to find out more. I am sure it will be a total white wash and they will do what they want anyway.

I am posting here because many of the affected residents live in Wandsworth and therefore will not be consulted on this despite being more adversely affected than many in Lambeth.

I think it's a good idea! It means we don't have to trek all the way to christmas events like the Lapland one. Yes, it has some inconveniences but I guess it depends on wether it's a nice event worth going to or some awful badly planned shambles....

I wonder how much they'll charge and just how many moped gangs will prey on those leaving at night??
I sounds like a dystopian Christmas nightmare coated in honey for those pretending that Christmas in South London is the place perfect...

Don't like the idea
Noise /litter/ no common for a while and potentially damage to the common/ terrorism threat and so on
One in Hyde park is clearly enough
Can't make the consultation evening as we are away but if anyone is going pls report back

Winterville Event Community Meeting
June 12, 2017
On Wednesday 14th June 2017 at 19:30 there will be a meeting at Omnibus,
1 Clapham Common North Side, London SW4 0QW,
with the organisers of the proposed Winterville Event.

Anyone who objects would be better protesting the number of days the festival will be held for - rather than it happening at all. As a venue it looks to be a done deal.
