Moroccan Oil

Postby Stigi » Fri Jun 03, 2011 6:43 am

Hello

Just wondering if anyone had used Moroccan Oil and what they thought of it. Is it worth it or are there any cheaper alternatives available? I have highlighted hair and heard that this is a good conditioning treatment?

I was recommended by both my best friend, who's a make-up artist, and by my hair dresser. It's amazing, it will revolutionise your hair it's less frizzy, easier to blow dry and more resistant to damp weather. I even use it on my daughters ringlets. The only advice my friend said was not to use it after ever wash as long term it might flatten the hair. It is expensive but you need only a small amount. By the small sample size and see how you get on. Hope this helps.

Definitely make sure you buy pure Moroccan Oil and not the cheap stuff.

The pure stuff is brilliant, the cheap stuff not so good.

Alternatively or in addition, a real treat to your hair which leaves it smooth, non-frizzy and hydrated is to invest in a silk pillowcase. Natural silk is known to reduce split ends, dryness, frizz, bed-head and knotted hair, to name but a few benefits. There are various grades of silk available but the best and most elegant looking would be a 16 momme (momme is the thickness of weave). There is a local company called SilkKiss - www.silkkiss.co.uk - which specialises in the product and if you call them directly, you can save a few pounds on the postal charges as they will deliver directly to your door. Woudl totally recommend Moroccan oil - my (highlighted) hair was such a mess after pregnancy and the oil really sorted it out. It smells gorgeous as well! And as ohers have said - it lasts ages as you only need to use a tiny amount each wash.

Jo Partridge sells it (along with the shampoo and conditioner) though not always in stock so worth phoning before making a special journey.

Check out www.wildwoodgroves.com

It has been established in the UK and Morocco since 2001. They sometimes have a stand at Borough Market selling their products but you can buy online. Indian Head Massage on a regular basis really helps keep hair and scalp in good condition. See my website www.head2toemassage.co.uk for treatment details. Mary :D

As another devotee to it you can also get it at Westfield - they have a stand in the main atrium and it is only £29.00. Fab stuff and smells delic.

Argan oil is making its way into the beauty industry. You can find it in many products, from facial creams to shampoos. As this product finds its way into more products, consumers are increasingly interested in what benefits Argan oil provides.

I have highlighted hair, just had a baby and just started using it and I think it has helped a lot. I got mine on amazon as they had a deal for extra free and it was my hairdresser that recommended it as the best. Jo partridge salon name has changed to Abbeville hair and beauty in case u go to buy there.

I have been using Moroccan Oil and it's good but can be quite heavy and oily. I just discovered this amazing product: http://abeautifulworld.co.uk/collection ... hair-serum
It's honestly one of the best I ever tried and it's 100% organic. The entire Yarok range is great.
