Sound familiar...

Wandsworth BC use Serco for refuse collection, on wet days the lorries eject foul liquid waste as a result of the compression, but this sprays cars with a filthy muck which dries hard and requires a proper clean.

Complain to stwright@wandsworth.gov.uk

I complained previously and got offered a car wash they would invoice to Serco and said they would instruct Serco to close the taps on the lorry and drain the container appropriately.

This doesn't happen and on my street alone in 2 occasions I have since seen a total of 6 splattered cars

I would like to highlight the issue and ask those affected to send an email of the mess to Sharon Wright at the council as hope that power in numbers may force them to actually act?

Thank you for this, I have had this happen twice to my car and it is like someone has vomited down the side. As you say it dries hard and requires a proper scrub to get it off.

This is becoming a regular issue on my street and the streets around me too.
I have sent an email to complain and the next step will be recording the truck doing this and send it to the council.
My children went to open the car door without realising and got this on their hands. This is toxic waste and should not be spayed on the street let alone peoples cars. Something needs to be done about it.
