I have a (one!) very nice suit that needs a clean. Any ideas? Thanks Julian

Hamilton's is great, though not exactly on Northcote Rd, but rather Lavender Hill, but very highly recommended.

I have used both Bellevue & Elegance-both are great and go out of their way to help. You can't go wrong with either.

Never had a problem with Bellevue and they are very friendly and polite.

Definitely Bellevue! They are more expensive than most but definitely worth it for special items that you don't want damaged or shrunk (which I've often found at other drycleaners!)

Has anyone done a price comparison amongst all the dry cleaners on Northcote or Battersea Rise?

A suit Julian?!? A sight to behold compared to your lycra!
Not on northcote but if it's a favourite take it to Scobies. I've just had an awful experience with another local cleaners - totally ruined a 300.00 duvet and they were so nonchalant about it, I couldn't believe it. Not even an apology, just flippant and unhelpful about a replacement. All of the other 5 items were badly cleaned and the pressing / finish was dreadful.
Scobies are expensive, but I have found other cleaners just don't make the grade. I've done a lot of dry cleaning and bed linens laundering over the last 20 years and just find it false economy going elsewhere.
