Which shutter company to choose?! Post Reply

Have had 3 quotes, from Shutterly Fabulous, All Blinds and Shutters (Croydon-based) and The Traditional Shutter Company in Streatham. All were similar price-wise, all seemed decent guys, online opinion seems generally good for all - so how do I choose? If anyone has had any particularly good/bad experiences with any of them, I'd be very grateful to hear!

Hi, I haven't used the companies you mention, sorry.
But I have used Affordable Shutters on 2 occasions.

I highly recommend them. They had the best price out of a few different companies, and I was very pleased with their standard of work. Family company, staff at my home were always on time, clean and courteous and staff in office were always prompt in their replies. Lead time waiting for goods isn't the fastest, but still would use them again.

I think they're much of a muchness. Were you sold "we sell the same shutters as John Lewis"?

Basically, S:CRAFT shutters are made in China to order but are managed and installed by numerous British firms. We used Shutters Up http://www.shuttersup.co.uk/ who trekked all the way from Bromley to us in Tooting and did a great job. I'd recommend them and we actually went back to them and ordered more, competitive enough within the model they all have to work within.
