Hello girls,

I have just been told that Tana Ramsay will be opening a beauty place on Northcote road next door to Question Air.

dose anyone know when??

I'm confused as I thought she writes family cookery books. Is she also a beautician? Otherwise not quite sure why we should get excited that she's opening a beauty salon and hoping it will be popular just because of who she (her husband) is!

Looks like she is definitely opening a salon but exact location isn't stated, although it is in Wandsworth so presumably Northcote Road would be the obvious place.

Yes Tana Ramsay is opening a beauty salon at 141 Northcote Road -(formerly Chris and Tony's)
I would not prejudge her and dismiss this as a celeb wife's hobby business. She has actually managed her husband's career and is probably largely responsible for his media success. If she is headhunting the best technicians in the area it is only what any other new business should do and is standard practice for banks, solicitors, estate agents - it is a competitive market out there.

So it's going to be called "it's all about the girl" Hmmm interesting choice of name, maybe they're going for the younger market but I can't remember the last time I was called or thought of myself as a girl!

Apart from Estate agents and pregnancy shops, surely the last thing Northcote Rd needs is yet another beauty spa type place. There are 3 on Webbs Rd and at least one other on Northcote.

What we really need is a great Deli to replace the Napoli Salumeria which has closed down.

As long as Tana ups the ante. The current selection of salons in the aeea are lacking the "spa" experience. Most of the beauticians are pretty good but most salons in my view are pretty shabby. Fingers crossed that she gets it right.

Quite a departure from her own cook books career. Perhaps she recently retrained?
I think I'll stick to Diane at the Lemon Tree - who really does know her business and offers a wonderful service.

All sounds very interesting. Not sure I'd go just because it's been opened by a "celebrity". She was actually a Montessori teacher originally, so not sure what qualifications she has to run a beauticians (other than money of course!!).

I'd put her husbands success down to the PR company

I have just moved here, and i am yet to find a good beauty salon , so i am actually pretty excited that there is a new beauty spa opening near me
I just hope the prices are not ridiculous

My wife is very good friends with Tana and i am sure that her new venture will be a fab hit no matter what you say.

I am shocked at all the negative comments on here

It's definitely on Northcote Road - I walked past today and wondered what "it's all about the girl" could possibly be. Looks close to opening.
