Tutor to start September for yr 5 child in local primary school

Postby Essextosw4 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 3:56 pm

Hello all,

I realise I have left this search very late but I would appreciate any recommendations for a tutor for Maths and English (especially writing) for my daughter who is about to start Year 5 in September. She attends a local state primary school.

Preferably a tutor with a track record of success with 11+ exams and somebody who is kind whilst encouraging.

Many thanks in advance

Hello,

I have used PASS Tutors in the past for my son. They were brilliant. My son made great progress and approached his 11+ with confidence and gained a place at our choosen school. He had individual tuition and also attended their 11+ workshops. The workshops are run by the owners, Charlotte and Anita, who are both very approachable and professional. I think they are Wandsworth based.

Hi there! My name is Cat and I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher currently teaching in Wandsworth. I am friendly and patient, but most of all I thoroughly enjoy teaching children, hence my career choice!

I currently teach Year 2 (6-7 year olds) but have experience teaching or tutoring from 4-9 year olds, and have good knowledge of the curriculum from Reception to Year 6. My experience includes targeted interventions in a specific area of learning, general Maths and English tutoring, and preparation for 7+ examinations, Year 2 SATs and Year 6 SATs.

I believe that different people require different types of teaching so I take a very flexible approach to tutoring. I am willing to try many different methods until I find the best way that the student learns.

I am a strong believer in the importance of education and this gives me the determination to ensure that my students achieve as much as they possibly can. I find it extremely rewarding when a student makes progress in areas that they struggle with and this is one of the reasons I enjoy tutoring so much!

I am available to tutor after school Tuesday-Friday and have competitive rates (and no agency fees!). References, DBS checks and qualifications are available on request.

If you'd like to discuss your child's needs, or just find out a little bit more, then please contact me through Nappy Valley or at catrionafb@hotmail.com 8-)

Hi
It's not too late to secure a good tutor to support your daughter in the 11+. We can assess her academic potential and give you advice on the best schools for her, as well as carefully matching her with a tutor that best suits your daughter's tutoring needs and her personality. We have a proven track record in the 11+ and can answer any questions you have on the phone right now: 020 3488 0754 (or have a look at our website: www.jkeducate.co.uk/the-11)
Good luck!
