Breast lump

Postby M&mmum » Tue Sep 19, 2017 2:47 pm

Hi,I've found a small lump under one of my breasts which I would like to get seen asap but don't want to wait until my GP can see me + NHS waiting time to get a scan. Is there a private clinic where I can get it checked out quickly? I'm very worried... :(

Your GP would see you very quickly for a breast lump if you inform them when making an appointment or ask to speak to the duty doctor. If confirmed on examination, they would then refer you to be seen by a specialist within 2 weeks, with a scan occurring at the same specialist appointment. Best of luck xx

The Harley street breast clinic will see you on the same or next day and will do all the necessary tests there and then to tell you if it's nothing to worry about or something more complex. It's not too expensive and completely worth it. Best of luck.

When i had a lump i went to the one stop breast clinic at London Bridge. I was seen by Dr Hisham Hamed who runs the clinic. You ll get examination, mammogram, ultrasound and biopsie on the same day at the same place. You ll also get the results same day.
Mine were malign so i also ended up being treated there.
Fantastic care and amazing people.
I awith Axa PPP. I highly recommend them.

Good luck to you. And yes you are right not to wait.

The London Breast Institute at the Princess Grace Hospital has a same-day service. They are extremely good. Impossible not to worry, I know, but remember that 9/10 lumps are benign.

Hello. I was in your position last year and, as mamaof1 said, if you say why you need to see your GP they will get you an appointment asap. I was seen the next morning and then referred to the One Stop Breast Clinic at St George's - the appointment was within a week. They were very thorough and very friendly.
Whichever way you go, I send you big love x
