Timings are usually the same each year 6-8 pm. the actual firework display starts at 7.15 I guess

Tickets are only open to families attending the 4 schools

I though this was awful last year - certainly won't go again.

Huge crowds in a very dark muddy field. Easy to lose a kid amongs the crowds. Seemed a bit dangerous in pitch black slippery mud. Blaring loud music. Massive crowds. Rubbish food and drink options. No loos.

Oh and did I mention it was about 20 quid a ticket? (or maybe it was less but I remember it being a lot for the four of us to go).

There are loos in the clubhouse

Does anyone know how many tickets they sell in total for the event?

A massive £12.50 a ticket this year, I think the people who organise this have lost the plot on charging this much, £5 a ticket and fill the field up.

Agree about the loud music last year - our kids did not like it at all (and the night is for them after all)

£12.50 per adult is too much when you are already paying a fortune to go to any of those schools. Why do they need to raise any more money, or is it all for charity? Anyway, it's free to watch from across the road on the common, you can take your own booze, choose your company and there is plenty of room for the kids to run around without having to worry about them falling into a bonfire and the music volume is bearable.
