Size of birthday party in Year 1 Post Reply

Morning all, hoping you can help with some quick advice. In reception we invited the whole class, but what's the norm for year 1 going forward? Do people tend to go the whole hog again or have a smaller party size with friends (+siblings) Thank you in advance

My daughter has started in year 1. So far she has been invited to 2 parties, at least one of which had been for the whole class. However I know 2 other children in the class have had a much smaller joint party where just a handful of the class were invited. I don't think my daughter has minded - I'm sure there will still be enough party invites during the year to keep her happy!

So basically up to you! Do what you think your child will prefer (and what you would prefer to organise!).
