Volvo Repair

Postby ally30_1998 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 9:59 am

Im sure this has been covered before, but I wasn't able to find anything in the forums...

Does anyone know of a Volvo Repair Garage that will come and collect the vehicle, fix it and drop it back? Its drive-able but has a light coming up on the dash so probably needs diagnostics.

My first thought was Bolingbroke Motors as they are 5 minutes away but I don't think they are there anymore.

Croydon Volvo picked ours up and repaired it but we were not very impressed by the overall service they gave and they did the absolutely bare minimum despite insurance company paying. We won't be using them again so I will follow this thread with interest.

We used Volvo in Chiswick too but haven't had a great experience on more than one occasion. I've also had my Volvo repaired by Springbok garage in Tooting (body work), and Wimbledon Carriage Co (where we bought it used). You'd have to ask about collection but I did get a courtesy car from Springbok and Wimbledon offered me a ride home! I'm sure you can ask.

Hi

Bolingbroke motors are now by Newton Prep - cant remember new name but number is same - 02077389490

They can sometimes pick up - but easy to take down there. They MOT my volvo before its annual serivice each year - and therefore know if anything for MOT needs done - and then i service with Volvo Chiswick, Really not keen on - but want to keep with Volvo for selling purposes. Volvo Chiswick will pick up for service - but you need to be home and the pick up window is 8 - 11.
I find very expensive but i'm sure they all are and they always present me with a list of recommendations but i always ask for Bolingbrokes advice to if needs done and i dont use them for tyres or brakes, Bolingbroke do this for me.

Now I'm slightly confused:

The number you mention is for what used to be the Budget Motorist Centre at 126 Bolingbroke Grove (a.k.a. Nightmare Junction). They are indeed still going.

Bolingbroke Motors used to be at 1A Bennerley Road, but the site has been sold to a developer, and I'm not aware of them relocating.

As I'm also after a reliable garage, I'm keen to find out which one you use.

Do not take your car to Volvo Chiswick! It’s the worst garage with the most rude staff, we had a horrible experience and ended up selling our car because fixing it cost us a fortune.
