Postby 3boys » Fri Jun 17, 2011 5:28 pm

I love the name but am wondering if it's becoming too popular? What do you think?

I LOVE the name Hugo! It's also my brother's name (he is 24 though!).

I have come across a couple at playgroups etc, but don't actually know any.

I'd go for it! :-)

Love the name as we name our son Hugo a few monhs ago so I am clearly not objective, this beeing said, it is popular name in continental europe (France and Italy in particular) but we liked it.

I have also visited a couple of nurseries in the area and only one had a toddler called Hugo so go for it...

Hello!

First of all congratulations as it sounds that you will have a baby boy soon (or maybe you've just had)!!!
It is a name that's becoming really fashionable all across the Mediterranean, I know quite few to be completely honest with you. Still, I think it is a lovely name and it has a beautiful sound to it. Go for what you LOVE! Name likes and dislikes change every decade or so...
I called my children names that have a strong meaning for me so it would remain no matter what fashion, and likes or dislikes say about it.
Good luck with your choice.
