I get my vegetables and fruit at a stall in Balham opposite Waitrose
I like the quality and good range. The fruit was fabulous and so were the veg and salad stuff. He is such a lovely man and gives you great old fashioned service.

I paid very little for 3 huge bags of fresh tasty fruit and veg the other day; I could easily do £50 at Waitrose and as for the other supermarkets, you just don't get the flavour. I refuse to pay a £1 for two courgettes!!

I do occasionally got to North End Road, Fulham for fruit and veg but you have to be careful as some of the fruit goes off the next day... :(

Also, really, really worth mentioning here if you love fresh (really fresh) fish, I got to North End Road market, there is a fish stall there and you can call and pre-book any fish you like as he rises every morning to go to Billingsgate so will bring it for you the next day.

I have bought from him the most amazing clams, monkfish, squid, Bass you name, really really tasty and as cheap as chips

Get yourself to Brixton Market...if you search you'll find some great fruit & veg (beware cheap imitations offered by most of the front line stall holders though) and you can be sure of findinding vegetables and fruits you never even knew existed. Amazing place!
