Need a recommendation for a surveyor Post Reply

Our offer on a house has been accepted! I am now looking for a recommendation for a local surveyor who is familiar with the SW11 area and can complete a full structural survey.

If you've worked with someone you recommend, please let me know!

just a thought - it's usually the mortgage company that appoint their own.

I think the mortgage lender may do their own but we have been told to also have a full structural survey done independently. I thought that was standard but as a first-time homebuyer I don’t know.

Always best to get an independent building survey done. When we bought our house last year we used (http://www.leohorsfieldsurveying.co.uk/ ) They were very good.

I've used and would recommend Des Kelly, who is local /knows the area well and did a very comprehensive job - climbing into cupboards with a damp monitor etc!
