Wandsworth Test 2018

Postby Test Club Tutors » Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:33 am

For Year 5 children who will be sitting the Wandsworth Test in September, we are running a revision course covering all areas of verbal and non-verbal reasoning in the test. Our tutors are qualified teachers with many years’ experience of preparing pupils for secondary school entrance exams.

We believe that confidence is the key to solid test performance and the key to confidence is secure subject knowledge, test technique and pace. Our revision course is designed to improve these areas using timed test papers, error analysis and direct teaching to address any misconceptions. In addition, there will be practical activities to enable children to apply their verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills.

Test Club is a popular local tutoring company specialising in preparing children for the Wandsworth Test. We have collaborated with Growing Young Minds to develop the summer revision course in response to requests from local parents.

This is a 5 day course from 23rd to 27th July 2018 at Belleville School.

We are offering a discount for places booked before 5th April.

For further details please visit: https://www.wandsworthtestclub.com/summer-courses or ring 07950 488134.

£550 - astonishing amount of money for most people. So now even state school places can be bought by wealthier people.

While I haven't got experience of the revision course advertised here, I can highly recommend Katherine as a tutor - which my daughter attended weekly while in Year 5. I really like the fact that Katherine just helps each child build their confidence and familiarity of a test environment - she is not about creating an exam monkey, but instead makes sure you get the best result you can get on the day - and that's exactly what happened in our case. She also teaches best practice on approaching tests and homework which is a great skill to take into secondary school.
I agree that for many people this is an expense - but to me it was a great way of making sure my child went to the best possible state school she could get into, as private school isn't an option.
