Don't despair, lots of things can cause hair loss and sometimes when you stop doing that thing your hair gets thicker again but sometimes not. Many things can cause temporary hair thinning, stress, medications, lack of vitamin D, too much heat (from hairdryers), dehydration etc. You don't say how old you are but hair thinning around the age of 50 or theresabouts is pretty common and just part of natural aging. It is probably much more noticeable to you than it is to others. If it is thinning because of natural reasons it can be a bit traumatic at first but give yourself a bit of time, maybe restyle your hair, it will almost definitely slow or stop thinning after a while and you will get used to its new look and feel better. x
