A Cartier watch - or any high value watch should be properly serviced by the manufacturer. Harrods is the best place for this or Cartier direct. This will cost several hundred pounds but when a watch is worth thousands, it should be cared for.
Agree totally. Since it was a seemingly simple job I used the watch guy in Arding & Hobbs to change a battery in my everyday Tag. He gouged a massive scratch into the case as he didnt have the correct tool to remove the back cover and also didnt fit a waterproof seal.
For servicing i always use Mappin & Webb in Regent Street. It's a but of a schlep but they're an authorised repairer for just about all high end brands.
