Update -I have just been phoned by Lambeth Council about the paddling pool. After numerous emails (that nobody from the Council replied to!) plus me asking questions on the Lambeth Council Facebook site a very helpful member of staff informed me that the surface of the pool needs relevelling - it will take c3 days and the work will commence on about 18th July. A notice went up today. We discussed the water levels too and General maintenance of the pool (water levels have gone down) and apparently a controversial decision was made 3 year ago (not based on evidence) to reduce the amount of water - think it was to do with cost savings. The lady I spoke to said that she will personally check the water levels when the pool floor area is sorted out. She also mentioned that there is an organisation called Clapham Mac (volunteer organisation) and one channel to influence the coucil might be to liaise with them as they represent the bodes of various stakeholders but there is no parent representing.
