Nope, I've been here for a while, and probably longer than you, Parsley.
I didn't say she deserved it. I'm saying she's an idiot for wearing a £10k watch and not worrying about the consequences.
I, and my husband, both work hard but it would never occur to me to purchase such a decadent waste of money, especially as so many people in this country are suffering, malnourished, having to rely on for banks, and so on. How utterly tasteless.

The poor woman has just been mugged in front of her children and you are calling her an idiot on a public forum. Have some respect

Sure onerachel -
Mark Salisbury
Tel: 020 8673 8777
Mobile: 07740 653929
Email:mrscomms@btinternet.com

He's a specialist cctv installer, not just an electrician. Normal electricians can't do it (at least the ones I asked couldn't). He knows all about the different systems and can get it for you, install it and fix it when things go wrong. He also set up my phone so I can see my cctv footage when I'm out. Brilliant! My house hasn't been burgled and once when there was a violent crime in my road I was able to give the footage to the police.

p.s. I totally agree Petal! It's not for anyone to judge how others choose to spend their hard earned money (unless it's a huge black range rover  ;) :D ). She probably think the dog deserved it too because his name is Bentley...

Walking down the street (as opposed to say keeping it under wraps but then getting it out in a friend's house or whatever) with a £10k watch visible is, obviously, asking for trouble, just as surely as it would be to walk around clutching a two inch thick wad of £20 notes in your hand. Decent, respectable, people obviously won't steal it from you, regardless of whether they're on the poverty line or whatever, but in the real world it's worth such an absurdly large sum that it's far from unlikely that you'll bump into someone, particularly someone young and foolish, dodgy enough to take a chance on robbing it.

In places where these sorts of disparities in wealth are the norm, various forms of private security are commonplace, might be worth considering for some people.

Why are some people on here assuming that poverty as the reason this happened and thereby giving them some sense of justification? I don't see it like that at all. Nobody in the UK is that poor! These well-built and healthy looking guys are clearly not starving and so desperate that they needed to attack for a 10k watch to feed and shelter themselves. No way, they are just scum who have no morals and walk around with a massive sense of superiority over and contempt for anyone a different race and sex to them and refer to women as their "bitches".

Not at all - there is a massive attitude issue out there and I don't mind raising it. Bathtub I suppose you'd rather explain away their disgusting disregard of life as them being so poor and oppressed that they had no other choice. Boo hoo, I'm about to burst into tears worrying about them.

Hey bathtub, how about you spend your time working hard and I hope whatever you decide to spend your well-earned money on isn't stolen by these scumbags.

I see youths on bikes waiting around on street corners off nightingale lane after about 10pm.

Hoodies with resentful and taut faces with little beady magpie eyes. Who scowl at you when you wish them a good night.

Waiting for drunken people to rob, possibly. Or just cycling at night without a helmet or lights for thrills. One or the other.

Have your wits about you.

Place is crawling with thieves desperate for their next fix.

Which is why we need more funding for youths. Not closing youth clubs and mentoring services. I know of many that shut down since 2010 in North Kensington. Ironically Cameron etc lived there a few minutes walk from Grenfell tower.
I don't see this situation improving unless there is radical change in the mindset of the well off and better off. ah well, good luck, definitely keep your wits about you, definitely think twice about wearing rolexes and stay safe .

I learned from a young age when I was a 13 year old teenager walking with my mum uncharacteristically wearing Cartier jewellery set in broad daylight in the mean streets of ...Marylebone we were followed relentlessly by a thieving couple

seen it many times, particularly rich Arab women

lesson learned there and then. end of story
