Hi, looking for some tips for a chilled weekend away with some female friends (mums)
Nothing too expensive, Hotel with spa facilities in Europe, probably Friday to Sunday so not too far away to fly.
looking to go last week of January 2019/first week of feb 2019
Has anyone done this, any recommendations?

Have you considered Lyon? You can get cheap Easy Jet flights from Gatwick.

Rome is a fab choice, I was blown away by how amazing it was last year.
Copenhagen or Stockholm also worth a look. Both fabulous imo.

Another vote for Budapest. Everything Beketaten has said. Cheap flights, flight time two and a half hours, lovely architecture, and very good value food and drink. The spas were great and very cheap in comparison to prices here. I'm actually planning to bring my sisters either this christmas or next year for a weekend  as I loved it so much. Enjoy xxx

Try Ljubljana!! Super cheap to fly to, BEAUTIFUL, cheap when you’re there.. I stayed in a great Air B & B if that’s of interest message me I can send the link!

Not sure if Jersey counts - but we had a fab weekend at L'Horizon, St Brelade's Bay in June last year

It's about 20mins from the airport & lots of flights Easyjet etc which are under an hour from all over the UK. Not sure what the weather would be like in Jan/Feb but probably fairly mild & you probably have a better chance of getting a deal then as I think it is popular for weddings in the summer.

I'd second Lisbon, but also Porto. Great for a long weekend - river trip, Port tasting, city walking tour and the chances are that most of you wont have been, unlike the bigger cities.

I would say either Budapest (amazing spas) or Prague (cheap and so amazing, and also have beer spas) !

Easy jet flights and a decent hotel for a good price !

Oh so many possibilities: La Villa Douce in the south of France (hotel with spa on the beach at good prices), Caidalir Spa near Bordeaux, La Donaira in Andalucia, La Ferme du Vent in Brittany. All tbese places have beautiful spa and design and will have a good orice at those dates. You can check my blog for more details about them and some more ideas.
