For Six months, locals have suffered the inconvenience and dangers associated with McLaren construction, ignoring all the safety conditions of the agree Construction Management Plan, and relying on ALL enforcement departments of Wandsworth Housing and Highways, to turn a blind eye!

This is next to a Primary School and busy Tube Station!

This Site is branded as Audley "Care" homes
In fact, Bahrain based investors have structured this project through Jersey and relied on the fact that C2 status dwellings, when compared to C3 (residential), pay no:

►Tax when owned by overseas Corporates
►VAT on construction costs
►Community Infrastructure Levy
►Contribution to Affordable homes
►Infrastructure Contributions

The Council Planners allowed them to produce a scheme that would provide £900K one bedroom, up to £2.5m three bedroom luxury apartments, instead of any Care Home situation that would benefit Local people.
The Day Care Centre, Swimming Pool, Cinema [which were meant to justify the scheme based on Local Access to these facilities] have all but disappeared, allowed by Council Planners 
Council Planners justified the Overdevelopment, by legally binding restrictions on traffic management  and inconvenience, yet when the developer wishes to lower costs and generate even more tax free profits.... The Council Planners ignore the illegality of it, and protect the interests of overseas billionaires, versus 1,000's of locals now forced into dangerous situations daily for TWO years!

It does not take a genius to compare the video scenes to the unenforced commitments to safety held within the CMP and insisted upon by the Planning Permission.

For six months your Local Cllrs and MPs have been spreading FALSE information to angry locals
To be clear .... the site Cabins and Traffic chaos are entirely there at the INVITATION and AGREEMENT of Wandsworth Borough Council

Ignored Safety Promises

Thousands of Londoners have expressed shock and anger at McLaren Construction commandeering their Bus Stop, post box, public safety space and Pavement, since May 2018, when unannounced 18 portaKabins occupied the pavement and forced them into the busy traffic.

There has been relentless campaigning, and aiding them in all this were so many of the dedicated Councillors....
But were they helping... or were they there to run diversionary tactics??

If any resident at any time in the last 6 months, has been told that the Cabins, loss of pavement and relocation of Bus Stop, was outside the control of the Council .... THEN THEY HAVE BEEN LIED TO!

There are clear binding legal documents preventing McLaren from using those cabins, as well as preventing the traffic chaos they have been doing..... Why are Wandsworth helping them shave several £millions or costs at the expense of the Public?

The question is ... are the Cllrs guilty of complicity, or have they been duped by the evil Street Works team????

• Did you sign the petition to Audley Care Homes to get the Walkway installed?
  
• Did you dedicate time to debate/discuss and strategise
  

If so, would you like to know, that:-

• Those organizing the Petition, are the same morally corrupt devieants that broke the law to throw you into the streets in the first place!
  
• they knew a letter to Audley is just for show - They are only 4% minority shareholders, tasked with hiding the true identity of the overseas billionaires
  

The cabins are illegal and so are all the congestion from Trucks

If James Baker's Tory leaders had not allowed McLaren to break legally binding documents, you would be enjoying clear and safe streets, and your old convenient Bus Stop - THERE WOULD BE NO DANGER TO CHILDREN OR ELDERLY

LoveWandsworth ,I am 100% with you regarding your post but for this sentence "Most of those among us can only be described as traditional Conservatives"...please don't "tar us all with the same brush" just because we live in Wandsworth! There is plenty of support for Labour, Lib Dem and the Greens in middle class Wandsworth ! 
I also don't get Scottov question about political affiliation.Surely we can all agree that this is a crappy thing to do regardless of who we vote for!

thanks for pointing out the ambiguity ..... there is plenty of variety in Wandsworth as you quite rightly point out.
When I typed "those among us" I was referring to the group of us that are making a stand and trying to wake people up to the damage being done to their Borough and to neighborhoods, streets and individuals, by this morally corrupt leadership.

We get most support from traditional labour voters, as the traditional conservatives are relatively cushioned from the major abuses, and it is generally the same story that they refuse to believe just how lawless the council has become.

For six month's these elite trained enforcers of rules to protect our Welfare and keep us safe, have stood around and watched children and elderly residents dice with Construction Trucks in the street, having had the safe environment of the Bus Stop and WIDE pavement forcible (and illegally) taken fro them.

There is a legally binding document, obliging McLaren NOT to do pretty much 100% of the dangerous things they are causing, which INCLUDES ... NOT taking over the Bus Stop and pavement for any form of utility space and DEFINITELY NOT for a Marketing Suite!

In just two days, of recording a few 15 min evidence reals, despite heavily protesting their innocence, McLaren appear to be smartening up their Act.
See the attached image ..... it's a start ...It's what they should have been doing all along.

It's a fraction of what they should LEGALLY be doing for safety and NOT to inconvenience the Community.

Also .... 90% of the Construction Traffic Congestion should NOT be there .....
Construction Management Plan and Construction Logistics Plan, were put in place to prevent exactly the dangerous and highly pollutive situation that is NOW there!

Instead of doing their ETHICAL Job description, the officers are perfectly happy to obey their bosses and do nothing to enforce .... no matter how much DANGER it causes.
