Private Paediatrician East London

Postby nkoidl » Tue Nov 27, 2018 12:07 am

We are looking for a private Paediatrician that we can call when our new born ever has an issue. We live in Shoreditch (East London). Ideally the person will do house visits or is fairly close by. An out of hours Paediatrician would also be helpful.

Hi nkoidl

Nappy Valley Net is a guide for South West London. You may not get many responses here for East London. I thought I'd let you know as I don't want to leave you hanging. Please do try local forums serving East London for specific recommendations for your area. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the non location related discussions on this forum which are of course relatable to all parents wherever you are!

Also I assume you’re not British? It’s not something we really do here so it will be hard to find a general paediatrician. If you have any problems with your baby you just take him/her to the GP.

Hi - I would recommend the best place to find a private paediatrician is at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children. They have a large children’s outpatient clinic where there are lots of general paediatricians as well as specialists. Since The Portland has a maternity there are a lot of doctors who are good with babies. If you go onto their website you should be able to find someone. They also have a Children’s Urgent Care Centre that is open every day of the year for walk-in private GP care. I haven’t used that yet but I’ve heard it is good.
