I'm so glad to see that several of you are also aware of this! I haven't heard of the Woolrich brand but I would never buy Canada Goose. PETA has been reporting on how Canada Goose gets those fur trims for ages and there have been many petitions doing the rounds:

https://www.peta.org.uk/action/spread-w ... e-cruelty/
https://www.peta.org/features/coyotes-k ... ada-goose/

Whatever your views on whether real fur is ok or not, please check out the way they obtain the fur before you buy - just appalling!! I certainly could not have that on my conscience and I silently scream at anyone I see wearing one of their jackets. I hope you find a cruelty-free alternative way of keeping warm.

I was completely unaware of the animal cruelty associated with these brands. Thank you for raising this issue.

I don't think I will be able to look at either of these jacket again with seeing the images in the link.

Yes, it's pretty bad isn't it. I just got another message from Peta about it and it's not just the trapping of the coyotes. It's also the treatment of the geese https://secure.peta.org.uk/page/34359/a ... id=1668878

Please reconsider citing Peta as a source: https://www.petakillsanimals.com/proof- ... peta-kills.

This company, does not seem as ethical as it claims to be.

I have no problem with vintage fur, and believe that it is better to respect the animal's life than to discard such old clothing if it is still wearable. I think killing animals simply for their fur isn't good, however, many indigenous tribes do use furs and make use of the whole animal (e.g Inuit, Sami). I am not a vegetarian either...

Perhaps consider buying vintage fur?
