Please can I have some feedback on my website?

Postby LondonMakeover » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:08 am

I am in the process of getting my website re-designed. The site is www.londonpropertymakeover.com. I created it several years ago for £25 myself with a package called Mr Site, but now is the time to enlist the help of a web designer to take it to the next level.

I have far more content that is currently on the site now, which will be uploaded, but looking for your feedback on the overall design:-

1) Is it easy to navigate?
2) Do you have any feedback on the classes or how you sign up?
3) Your thoughts on any overall improvers for design/ layout/ content would be much appreciated.
4) Also looking to sell Interior Design products on the site in the future, so any thoughts you have on that would be great.

Thanks!

It's very simplistic and easy to use but it depends how much you paid for the site design....

Lovely photo Karen!

Have you thought about using video?
You could tell us alittle bit about yourself and what you have to offer.

Tabs along the top (just under banner) listing different sections about you, your experience, cost etc could be considered...instead of having them on the side, that way everything is above the fold and you do not have to scroll down. It's very important to capture your visitors attention as soon as they land on your page.

An opt-in box on the top right hand side could be used to capture visitors name and email addresses. If you offered some free valuable tips like "5 simple ways to make your home beautiful in 10mins" in exchange for their information, you could build a list of potential clients.

You may want to consider using Wordpress (the hosted version) as a platform for your website as you can easily integrate social media (facebook, twitter, youtube) and optimise traffic, there are some great themes you can buy reasonably priced too!

Hope this is helpful!

All the very best,
