I use AdClear: https://www.seven.com/adclear-installation.php.

It is excellent and it even blocks YouTube adverts! The developers update the application regularly, and respond to emails in good time. It uses a VPN so it stops preloaded ads. It also scans new applications installed to check for adverts.

I have been using it on my tablet for two years and I recommend it.
