Nurseries in Brixton or Clapham

Postby Biscuit » Mon Aug 01, 2011 11:53 am

Hello, I am currently looking for a nursery to register my son with for my returning back to work in the New Year. He is 6 months old so will be 6 months+ by the time I go back. As a new mum I have been very disorganised so am now worried about getting him in anywhere! We live just off Brixton Hill, but I'm happy to travel to Clapham or other areas. Can anyone recommend a good nursery please that might have places in 6 months time?

Thank you

My daughter has been attending Cherubins on Palace Road in Tulse Hill, right next to Brixton Hill, for the past two years and we are very happy with the care she receives. They have always been helpful, plus quite patient with my daughter who is quite shy. They have someone on the premises who cooks their meals, and the garden is quite big and roomy.

Thank you so much. I have actually already booked to visit Cherubins this week so your positive review is very reassuring thank you.

Hello,
My friend has her son at the Whitehouse (off Thornton Rd I think), she also lives off Brixton Hill. I know she has recommended it to many friends herself so it must be good. It was quite newly opened as well which has the added bonus of everything being fresh and clean.

Good luck and I hope you find something suitable for your son.

My 10 month old daughter goes to Stepping Stones which is just off Acre lane. She started at 6 months and loves it! She always gets excited when we get to the door and she sees the manager who she really loves!

Not sure if it would be too far away from you but my two little ones are very happy at Anglo-Spanish Nursery on Clapham Manor Street (just off Clapham High Street). We don't have any Spanish ancestry or anything but I'm very happy my daughters are learning Spanish. It's a family run place and the people are just lovely and so amazing with children.

Thank you all very much for your messages - so helpful, thank you. I actually saw Stepping Stones the other day and really liked it. The manager is lovely. x
