Premises Assistant
Salary: £10,782/annum (Scale 2, Point 4)
Contract: Permanent, 20 hours/week, term-time only + INSET days
Start Date: March 2020
Honeywell Infant and Junior Schools are successful three-form entry schools between Wandsworth and Clapham Commons which share the same site. Both schools have been deemed to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and each school has its own Head teacher and staff, whilst they successfully share responsibility for the buildings and the combined work of the premises staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Premises Assistant to work with our experienced Premises Officer to ensure that our site is managed and maintained to the highest standard. The role is varied and duties include maintenance of internal and external environments, liaison with contractors, statutory testing and accurate record keeping. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and the ability to work on your own initiative. Experience of maintenance, plumbing or DIY would be an advantage. Responsible to the School Business Manager, you will have the opportunity for professional development and training in all aspects of premises management.
Working hours will be 1pm – 5pm with occasional morning duties (7.15am-11.15am) and the possibility of additional hours during the school holidays.
