Afterschool & Holiday Nanny (long term position)

Postby RossanaE » Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:48 pm

We are looking for a kind, warm, reliable, fun, organised and energetic person to look after our children after school and during the school holidays.  Previous experience with childcare is essential and you must be able to drive.  Start date is 1 September 2020, but we could bring this forward for the right candidate.

We have two daughter aged 4 and 7. They are kind and polite children who enjoy playing games, music and having lots of fun together.  Our current nanny is leaving us after 4 years, our cleaner has been with us for over 10 years and we so do not tend to have turnover of staff.

During term time, the hours would be 4pm to 7pm twice a week and 3pm to 7pm for the other two days and we would need you to

  • Drive the kids home from school;
  • Give them healthy snacks;
  • Serve dinner which will be usually be cooked but there is a need to make side vegetables/ pasta/potatoes etc.;
  • Supervise homework;
  • Help with bath time;
  • Help to pack the children's school bags for the next day, and ensure uniforms / sport kit are also ready;
  • Help with family washing & ironing
  • Clean and tidy up kitchen after dinner, children room and play area;
  • Play and have fun; and
  • Occasionally put the children to bed (if we are home late though we usually like to be home before bed time);
 During the school holidays, the hours would be 8:30 am to 6:30pm Monday to Thursday. We will pay via NannyPayee and cover tax, pension, national insurance contributions and holidays. If possible, we would also be grateful for help on two mornings during term time, though this is not essential.  We are based in-between Clapham and Wandsworth Town station. Rossana
