Keeping Learners In Touch During Lockdown

Postby YoungGiants » Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:40 am

As a parents I'm only too aware of the impact of lockdown on children. Mine are too young for school, but I'm still concerned about their current lack of peer socialising. Children learn a great deal from their peers, developmentally and academically, and sharing life and learning experiences helps them strengthen higher order thinking skills.

We're being asked by an increasing amount of parents if we can host online lessons to small group of friends and the answer is an emphatic YES!

Group learning is a fantastic way to keep children in touch and focussed towards a shared goal. If they are in the same class at school, then even better! When schools eventually return, children who continued their learning online as a group will have this shared experience to fall back on and can support one another, socially and academically through what is likely to be a very disrupted class timetable.

We work with a strong team of highly skilled and qualified primary and secondary school teachers as well as experienced tutors, early years practitioners and ESOL teachers. All of our tutors are fully screened under our rigorous Safer Recruitment policy.

Contact us today to discuss options for group online learning, or individual one-to-one learning. We place a specific focus on making the right tutor/teacher match for the child or group of children needing the support.
