Front door - strip and repaint needed Post Reply

Hi there

Does anyone have a recommendation for a tradesman who could refurbish a front door please? It'll need stripping down, sanding, re-painting etc.

It's a period door with stained glass, so quite fiddly I think. Then affix new door furniture etc.

unfortunately I don't have any recommendation but, as a side question to your topic, do you know if we have to follow some kind of "color chart" for the front door or can we use any color?
I would love to paint ours red or dark purple but I am not sure it is ok with the concil. Does anyone knows?

I have just had a guy do some work for me and was very happy with him (reasonable price and very good standard of work). He didn't paint for me ( did lots of odd jobs like putting up shelves) but painting is his main thing.
