Wooden Playhouse

Has anyone out there bought their child a wooden playhouse? Would like to buy my daughter one for the garden but would prefer a recommendation, there's so many advertised on internet. Also they all seem really expensive just looked at one for £2000...!!! Would expect her to move into it permanently at that price

!

Hi, we had the same problem when we were looking, but were recommended www.tigersheds.com. We have an 8x6 TigerCub Funhouse and it is BRILLIANT! It's been up for over a year and is very robust. The kids love it...and it didn't cost us 2k!

Tiger sheds are a great company - thoroughly recommend them. Great quality and a good price too. What a lucky girl!

If you need to paint/stain it, Protek stains www.protekwoodstain.co.uk are great - you can buy them online. Or Cuprinol garden shades.

I just ordered the Woodford (having spent weeks researching it!!) from Adrian Hall Garden Centres. http://adrianhall.co.uk/sheds/woodford. I have ordered the 8 x 7 with a Georgian door (the picture on the website shows a much smaller version). Its a bit of a treck but if you can be bothered go down to their garden centre in Feltham and they have all the sheds erected in the grounds. You can go in and see the size and styles. I am really happy with the woodford, its really cute compared to some other similarly priced sheds and I'm going to paint it with cuprinol coloured paint from homebase, so it will be a sort of soft green when I have finished. I was really impressed because the Adrian Hall shed includes free delivery and 'erection'. Sometimes the 'erection' bit costs a few hundred quid on top of the cost of the shed... Its cost me about £1200 all in. I am very excited about it being delivered on September 14th! Don't forget you'll have to have a flat surface to put it on - we got a landscape gardener mate to make a concrete base for it.. much cheaper than laying paving stones underneath.

We've just bought a gorgeous wooden playhouse for less than £300 from Waltons - they do children's playhouses as well as garden sheds. We painted it ourselves and put flowerboxes around it and it looks really lovely. We ordered it online and it was delivered in 2 days. Recommend getting the Ecobase to put it on too to avoid damp.
