Saint Cecilia's C of E School

Postby foxycoxy77 » Mon Oct 19, 2020 4:30 pm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone who has/ recently has had children at St Cecilia's secondary school in Wandsworth has any general thoughts on the school? It may be an option for our child in September. I can't seem to find many previous comments on here....

Many thanks in advance!

Hi, My daughter is in year 8 and really likes the school. They have good pastoral support and so far most of the teachers that I have met appear very helpful. Despite not knowing anybody at the school when she started she quickly managed to settle in. She is bright but struggled a bit in primary school as she is very easily distracted so initially I was concerned about how she would adapt to the secondary school environment but I am happy to say that she is thriving there.
The school is a music specialist so if your child is musically inclined it would be a good choice although my DD isn't really musical but many of her friends are. Also when DD started they had a new head and several new staff members so not sure how that will translate to longterm performance but so far I would definitely recommend.
