Weekend Activities for Mums, Dads & 11 mnth Baby

Postby Olivia » Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:46 pm

Hello,

We are new to London and to Balham, and would love to get the family out of the house on the weekend (we both work full time). Are there activities people could suggest we could do with our 11 month old son, or places to take him to which would be fun?

I understand activities on weekends are not as many as during the week, but we are dying to get him out to play and meet some people in the area!!

Suggestions Welcome!

Olivia

Hello

You should have a look at Gambado and It's a Kid's Thing. Both are indoor soft play areas.

Battersea Park is also nice and it has a children's zoo.

Hope this helps!

Gambado's you might find a bit noisy and is better for older children. there's often music at the cafe on wandsworth common, look up fruity tunes and more often than not you'll end up meeting people in the many child friendly cafes in and around northcote road. most of them also have activity and information noticeboards. NCT group not working out?

if you are interested in swimming it is really fun to go for family swim times in a pool near you. Once children start early they are hooked for life and it is great bonding time as well...

why not give Dusty Does Disco at Ealing a try? If you're little boy is up and walking he will love the music and lights :)
