salary range per hour for live-in nannies, central london

Postby cecile.f.barthelemy » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:26 pm

Hello, I am looking for a live-in nanny for circa 32 hours per week in Central London, Fulham and I would like to know what would be the average price per hour, given that we will provide accomodation (nanny will have her own room/ prive bathroom), food and internet connection. Thank you very much for your help. Cecilie

Live-in au pairs are typically £80 for 25 hours plus 2 nights babysitting or £90 for 30-35 hrs plus 2-3 nights babysitting.

Hi
I am a full time live out nanny in Chelsea. I look after one 7 year old boy who is at school from 8:15am-5pm some days. My hours are 7:30am (which is quite early for a live-out nanny) and I finish at 6:30pm though I am usually done by 6pm. I get paid £600net per week. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have over 13 years childcare experience and I am a native English speaker. I would probably be at the top end of nanny salaries. I was a live-in nanny working Mon-Fri 8am-6pm in Clapham and I got £450net a few years back. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

wow £450 a week for live in work!! What agency was that with?? :).

In relation to the queistion of how much nannies get paid im a live in nanny and i get £350 net a week working 7.30-7.30 mon to thurs ad 7.30 to 6pm friday.

I have my food paid for and travel to outings etc and my role is solely childcare so no additonal housework etc but I do ofcourse tidy up after him and do nursery duties i.e make his meals, his washing etc.

I am a qualified (Early years degree), ofsted registered, crb & first aid english nanny with 6 years nursery and nanny exp and was told live in salary to expect £350-400 a week net and live out would be 450-500 net a week. the family pays tax in addition.

hope that helps :)
