Cost of rebuild for buildings insurance

Hello, over 10 years ago my builder mentioned  that the approximate rebuild cost would be in the region of £500k for our 5-bed house in SW12...anyone agree or disagree with this figure?

We just built a house in Sw12 (3.5 beds, 3 bathrooms, 1 office) 170/175sqm, it cost £420k. For a few reasons i won’t bore you with I would say it should have cost £460-480k. So pro rate that on your sqm and you should have a good idea (provided you don’t have a basement).
