@Rochile : I would say that 2 months is what you need if you get all your appointments quickly, your period calendar coincide and it works from the first time. So probably on the optimistic side. That being said, I haven't been through the process myself
yet so maybe best to have advised from an experienced person

We are still undecided and we need to decide very shortly. Out of the three in the list : CRGH, Creates and Lister, we have decided not to go for CRGH as it is much more intensive and we prefer to go for something milder to start with, especially for our low eggs reserve situation.

We realized Creates has a different protocol, they first do three egg collection in a row (I.e. over 3 moths), observe and grade the embryos, then freeze them. The first transfer starts after the third month. They will select the best ones for the transfer. If the transfer doesn't work, they will unfreeze the second best and so on. So you really have to wait for 3 months before starting your first transfer. You need to be patient. But of course three month is little time for such an important adventure.

Rochie, i can only share my thoughts about CRGH. Just went through the first egg collection, and none of the embryos survived to day 5... devastated and not sure what to do next but will be looking for a different clinic. I would say 2 maybe months is enough if you make you first consultation online and come right before your period for all check ups. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Hi Ddana - I am very sorry to hear that. Did you collect a lot of eggs in the first place ? Did the donor say if was for a specific factor ?

Regarding your next clinic, I am familiar with Lister, CRGH and Creates. I think Lister will be somehow similar to CRGH but a touch lighter in term of dosage. Creates is very much different. Creates does this weekly webcast explaining their process that you can attend.

I have started to take the nasal spray, and will probably start the injection sometime next week.

Good luck to all !

I meant "doctor" not "donor" in my message above

Hi I just had my egg collection in crgh today. They collected 9 eggs. By the way its my 6x trying to become pregnant but its my first try here in crgh. I had 3x fresh transfer in guys hospital and 2x frozen but it didn't worked. During the frozen transfer I had a miscarriage and suffered a bleed (subchorionic haematoma). It happened last year. I rushed going to guys hospital to have a scan and they found a heart bit and I'm 6 weeks pregnant but after that day I had a miscarriage. Very sad.
Thats why we try this time in CRGH. Hopefully it will work. GODBLESS us.
I will update you about my treatment. All the best and take care

I Would highly recommend ARGC. They are absolutely amazing and yes they do recommend some expensive exams but in my opinion if you are taking this path you also need to be willing to do every you can to succeed.  Feel free to Pm me! :-)

Wishing you all the best Mary jean jum. Keep us posted with the progress. 9 eggs is a very good start ! I only had 3, which was in line with my low AMH.

Also I’m looking for reviews of Kingston Hospital IVF treatment ? I can’t find any , now after appeal for a denied funding application, finally I have NHS funding but they don’t said I can chose another hospital. Also I’m living now in Wandsworth.
Thanks

I am currently undergoing an IVF procedure there now, and so far so good. I’ve read horror stories about other clinics and it’s been pleasant here. With every question answered and the medical staff are quite friendly and understanding. And it’s not pocket draining too.

I wanted to share my experience at CRGH.
I had 6 embryos frozen and so far 2 attempts of transfer that have failed.
I am now in the process of having an endometrial biopsy to find a possible cause of my infertility.

What I feel in this clinic is that there are a lot of tests as in: dummy embryo transfer and also they are obsessed in medicating the cycle, as in, not doing the transfer in a natural cycle but with hormones, even if my periods are normal.
They also recommended me doing a pre implantation gene analysis (PGD) that is really expensive and in other clinics, they don't recommend it..

Also, not very satisfied with the nurses. It's nurse led, but every time I go I am seen by a different nurse, each one with a different degree of expertise.. and I have had occasions where I have been given the wrong information.. and it has been by chance that I found out it was wrong...

I don't think I would repeat this clinic and I would go to Lister or other clinic you recommend now.

Thanks, any comments would be appreciated.

Another vote for CRGH here. I think we were seen by Dr Abramov, but also remember Dr Saab. This was 2014.

We were lucky and in the end were successful on our first round of IUI, so never needed to progress to IVF.
General memory was that appointments were sometimes fairly chaotic and often ran late (clinic is part NHS, part Private, but we weren't eligible for NHS) but that fact did make me feel as though they were more open to discussions around which tests/procedures were necessary, rather than expecting you to be happy to pay for absolutely everything under the sun. Friend who did extensive research and spoke to various doctor friends settled on CRGH as the best option too (she was also successful)

Out initial rounds of tests cost us approx £4000 for me and husband. There's a lot they need to check out before moving into IVF, so keep that in mind (thyroid, HIV, vitamin D, clamidyia etc etc. None extortionate but takes time and adds up)
Also relevant that you will be travelling there a LOT, so transport from your home/work needs to be taken into account. This may be less of an issue now as a lot of people are currently able to WFH.

Good luck! :)

Hi,

I need to decide on the clinic for IVF with ISCI. We had one fresh and one frozen transfers at Guys hospital, however both failed. So now I am looking into ARGC, Create and CRGH. From what i have read here on this chat, Create approach is more gentle with milder treatment where CRGH has more aggressive approach with a lot of procedures and medicaments you have to go through. Since I am a 'healthy' one in the family so wondering what is better for me. Also interesting that Create has a very high IVF birth rate compare to others (30prc), but multiple birth rate is very low (4.9prc) compare with other two. This is so confusing and I just don't know what to do. Has anyone know if ARGC would be much more expensive than the other two? Are we talking here something above 10k for one round?

Would love if someone could share their thought on here.

Thank

Indra

We had a very positive experience at C&W with Mr Norman-Taylor on the NHS.

Definitely recommend going to free "open days" to get a feel for the place and the people before committing.
No place can guarantee success, so it's important you're under a team you feel comfortable with as they will be guiding you through this challenging period.

I have had two IVF treatments at Lister and did not get pregnant. Out of desperation at 42years old I went to argc and got pregnant but miscarried and tried again about two months later which was successful and resulted in a girl. Argc is intense. The monitoring is intense and continues until you are 20weeks pregnant and then after that it's about once a month for the immunes testing. It's expensive but I don't regret the money spent as it was the only clinic that managed to get me pregnant and resulted in a baby. I wish you the best of luck. The journey is hard but if you are lucky it is worth it when a little one is nestling in your arms.
