My daughter was at Burntwood until a couple of years ago. I found the teachers to be capable and committed. There’s plenty of extra-curricular activities, I remember netball club, youth leadership, ski trip, theatre trips, wimbledon ball girls, and there are lots more. Anything to be paid for by parents is reasonably priced. Pastoral care seems good. We got some excellent support with a health problem. Uniform is not expensive and lasts. Downsides? Mainly subjective, and could be same at any school? There was no parent community, no PTA or fundraising. This could have changed. My daughter had some lovely friends and some horrible situations with other girls that made me wonder if co-ed might have been better. The school 100% teaches inclusivity but my daughter would say that being the same race or religion is a factor in friendship groups. Hope this helps but please bear in mind this is just the opinion of one person! When I was choosing schools I tended to zone out from what other parents said as sometimes it wasn’t helpful!
