As you have seen in the news, a powerful earthquake hit southeastern Türkiye/northern Syria on Monday 6th of February, with three equally large aftershocks in the following 12 hrs and another two powerful ones on the 20th of February. The effects have been devastating across a huge region covering 10 cities and countless smaller towns and tens of thousands of people. In addition to fallen buildings, highways have miles-long cracks and regional tunnels and bridges are broken or blocked with debris, airports closed. Added with the extreme weather conditions, it has been very challenging for effective aid to reach the region.
Going forward for months, if not years, there will be a need to rehabilitate the region and help the survivors regain their livelihoods.
Your support is needed to help those who have been affected.
