Mole removal

Postby bisousbisous » Tue May 02, 2023 3:24 pm

My 15 year old daughter spoke to me this weekend about a mole on the side of her face that is bothering her and asked if she can have it removed. I'm not sure if that's the right decision but have told her that I'll explore options and then we can discuss further once we have more information.

Could anyone recommend a clinic or plastic surgeon I could speak to?  I assume we will need to go private as it's purely for cosmetic reasons.

Thanks in advance.

If you're looking not only for a local clinic, I wanted to share my own personal experience with you. I recently underwent plastic surgery myself and was fortunate enough to find a great clinic in Czech Republic. Not only was the quality of care and professionalism top-notch, but the pricing was also more affordable than what I had found in my local area.

I understand that finding a clinic that you can trust can be a daunting task, but I wanted to let you know that there are options out there that may offer better value and quality of care than what you may find locally. Of course, every person's needs and preferences are different, but I just wanted to share my own experience in case it could be helpful to you. Let me know if you need references.

Try Stratum clinics in Raynes Park. I have experience of the consultants there for a non-cosmetic procedure but they do cosmetic procedures too. Dr Arujuna is very easy to deal with and would be a good place to start.

I had a mole removed last year from Cosmedics in Putney and I’m so glad I did. The scar is completely gone (certainly unnoticeable anyway). I was in there 20 mins maybe? Very clean, professional and felt safe

My daughter had to have a mole removed and we were recommended (by one of the top dermatologists at St George’s) Andrew Fleming who works at Parkside. He’s a cosmetic surgeon so got a great result. Also has a really lovely manner with young people.

I highly recommend Mr Simon Wood at Parkside hospital who removed a mole for me last summer with very pleasing results.

I would also recommend Andrew Flemin at Parkside or New Victoria. He has removed moles and carcinomas from my face/eye area and did an excellent job. My dermatologist told me it was best to get a plastic surgeon to remove from your face.
