shutter recommendation

Postby coffee cake » Thu May 25, 2023 1:12 pm

Looking to get shutters for the whole house - typical victorian BTC could anyone tell me how much this would cost approximately and if anyone could recommend a company that they have used recently. There are so many companies it is hard to know who to go with. Thanks so much

I would recommend The Traditional Shutter Company. I used them many times, always delivered good standard and on time. A family run company, very professional and nicely price.

Can recommend Jessie of Shutter-love. We used them and they were fab. Give us great options and she now offers blackout options in her shutters. Great for the bedrooms.
Contact jessie@shutter-love.co.uk or 07887 713711

Good luck.

HELLO

I WOULD RECOMMEND PLANTATION SHUTTERS IN BATTERSEA (OFF YORK ROAD) I USED THEM IN MY HOUSE AND FOUND THEM VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EVEN DURING COVID THEY DID NOT LET ME DOWN!

We recently used New England Shutter Company - their offices are right next to Wandsworth Common train station where you can see all the different options they have. We got shutters for the bottom half of our living room window and spent c£1,500 to give you an idea of cost. I think they are definitely not the cheapest, but they were very professional, always on time and the shutters were ready and installed ahead of their initial schedule, and the shutters look beautiful and sturdy.

Another vote for Shutterlove. As shortcircuit says - their blackout shutters are ace which means you can you have shutters in bedrooms without having to worry about light leakage. I lived in a rented house once which had bedroom shutters and got woken up every morning by the early summer light seeping in.
