Can't help with recommendations, but do make sure that you have absolutely watertight insurance cover. The Mediterranean is basically a large body of stagnant water (relatively very little moves through the Straits of Gibralter) which traps heat - over 40 years its temperature has consistently risen slightly faster than average. That doesn't mean that one can say for certain that there will be storms etc, but it does mean that if there are, then they will tend to be more severe (because of the trapped heat / energy), as they have been this year.
