Hi!
I’m looking for recommendations for a holiday in Greece next year. We will be 4 adults and 5 kids (btw 9 and 3years old). Looking for a Villa options, slightly off the beaten track is good, we don’t mind a bit of island hopping.

Preferably a pool and proximity to beach and some local restaurants.

Can't help with recommendations, but do make sure that you have absolutely watertight insurance cover.  The Mediterranean is basically a large body of stagnant water (relatively very little moves through the Straits of Gibralter) which traps heat - over 40 years its temperature has consistently risen slightly faster than average.  That doesn't mean that one can say for certain that there will be storms etc, but it does mean that if there are, then they will tend to be more severe (because of the trapped heat / energy), as they have been this year.

Try Simpson’s Travel. We’ve been going to Greece with them for the last few years and they’re a great, small family run company with lovely villas and always have really helpful reps on the ground. We’ve been to Lefkada the last couple of years which is lovely and you can get a ferry to Kefalonia if you want to island hop.

Skiathos is a great option, slightly off the beaten track. You can combine it with Alonnisos and Skopelos for some easy and close by island hopping. There are some lovely hotels and villas on all of these islands.
